This next week, we start an exciting transition. On Sunday, we’ll conclude our sermon series on “The Lies They Tell Us,” as we look at the Lie that Christians Just Need to Be Quiet. I think it’s an appropriate ending to this extended series, and am looking forward to it. Then, on Wednesday, during our Children’s Activities time, I will be doing Acolyte Training with the kids, and Kaycie will be having a parents meeting at 4:30. Then we’ll start back our Wednesday Night Suppers. We’re asking you to help us out, by making reservations. We have no idea the numbers to expect, and don’t want to run out of food, or have too much. Please call the church office and make your reservations. The serving line will start at 5:15, and we’ll transition to the Sanctuary for our 6:30 Ash Wednesday service, and kick off our Lenten Season.
We’ll resume Wednesday Night Bible Studies on March the 9th, and we’ll be celebrating Youth Sunday, on March 20th, with a combined 11:00 service in the Sanctuary. That night we’ll be hosting a Worship Night at 6:00 pm. Then it won’t be anytime until we start a run of five special Sundays with Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, Confirmation Sunday, Senior Sunday, and Mothers Day.
We’re ready to crank things up, but to make that happen, we need volunteers. If you can help us, please let us know. I’m so excited to see so many of our folks returning to worship, and know that there are some very special times ahead!
