Welcome to First Methodist Church! Our Recreation Ministry is here to implement experiences that are designed to enrich the lives of our church and community. Throughout the year we offer a variety of opportunities for all ages to participate in events, enrichment classes and outreach ministries.
The philosophy under-girding our ministry is that God’s ideal is for us to have our lives centered daily in the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ. When Christ is the center of our living, all of life (including the physical) becomes happier and more fulfilled.
We offer a variety of classes and events for all ages that range from sports, fitness, Arts, Seasonal Special Events and Monthly Senior Adult Events. Throughout the year, the Recreation Ministry offers:
- Upward Basketball
- Senior Adult Lunch & BINGO
- Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat
- Pickleball Classes
- Senior Adult Movie Matinee
- Art Classes
- Adult Volleyball
- Exercise Classes
- Adult Racketball
In addition, the Recreation Director coordinates Backpack Buddies and a Summer Food Assistance Program during the summer.
The Recreation Ministry expands much farther than the Activities Center. There are opportunities for every church member to plug in and be fed as well as feed others. We would love for you to join us!
