I wanted to give you an update on where we are with the programming at Tifton First, as we continue to navigate through the crazy waters of COVID. This coming Sunday, our Children’s and Youth Sunday School classes will resume their in-person classes. The Christian Covenant class will resume meeting in-person as well. They join the adult classes that were already meeting – the Young Adult Class, the Beacon Class, the Joy Class, and the Asbury Class. The Searchers’ Class and Garrison-Seekers Class have decided to remain virtual only through September.
The Genesis Class completed the book study they were doing after Robby left in August, but with the climbing COVID numbers at that point, they haven’t met since. Starting this Sunday, Trevor will be covering the Young Adult Class and I’ll be leading the Genesis Class the next few weeks, as we restart it. If you haven’t been attending Sunday School, but would like to start or come back, this is a terrific opportunity. The class meets upstairs in the Adult Building, in the larger room with doors on both sides of the thermostat. If we have too many to fit, we’ll go down to the Searchers’ Class, since they won’t be meeting in person. I hope you’ll join us this Sunday!
On Wednesday, the 22nd, our Children and Youth will kick off their weekday activities, after a long delay. There’s more information on that on the pages that follow.
I want to take a moment and thank all of the staff and volunteers who continue to provide opportunities for us to gather as the body of Christ – in person and virtually. We are so excited for the opportunities to come together, and hope soon that we’ll be able to have all of our programming back up and running. In the meantime, if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
In Christ,
Chip
