God’s goodness never ceases to surprise me, and yet remains the constant thing in life. It didn’t take long for Katy and I to realize that the Lord’s goodness was already resting on the Body of Christ here in Tifton, Georgia. Even before we officially made the move individuals from the church were loving, helpful, welcoming, and hospitable. All of our interactions and conversations have thus been seasoned with God’s goodness along the way.
We were greeted upon our arrival by a host of individuals both young and old. It was clear to see how folks had worked tirelessly to prepare a place for us to get settled and call home (temporarily at least). The details were not overlooked as folks had already set up our home furniture and were ready to help move us in when we got there. The list also included coming home to a fully stocked fridge along with the finishing touches of indoor floral arrangements and a wreath on the door to match. Not to mention the slew of magazines that one member deemed necessary for any home to have. The phrase that comes to mind is, “Above and beyond!”
From the bottom of our hearts we can’t say thank you enough to everyone who has reached out or helped in some way to make our transition to Tifton as smooth as possible. As many of you know, moving is not an easy task physically, mentally, and emotionally, however your support has made this transition all the better. We look forward to calling Tifton, Ga our home and we look forward even more to calling Tifton First our church family. We can’t wait to meet every last one of you and to get to know you personally. Don’t hesitate to reach out and introduce yourselves to us as we have a lot of names and faces to learn! All in good time. Until then, know we are praying for you and couldn’t be more grateful to God for bringing us to a place as special as Tifton First.
