John Carson passed away on August 22, 2019. A faithful member and regular attendee at the traditional services on Sundays, John had a passion for mission work. Over many years, he participated in our church’s mission trips. Speaking fluent Spanish and his love for helping others made him a valuable member of these teams, most of which were to Latin America countries. In his Last Will and Testament, John very generously bequeathed a sum to the Missions part of our Endowment Fund. What a tremendous legacy he leaves to insure the perpetuation of these outreach programs! While ordinarily the identity of donors to the Fund is not made public, with the permission of his brother, Jimmy Carson, it was decided that the congregation should be made aware of this gift. The next mission trip will be named in John’s memory.
