Tifton First Methodist Church Hurricane Helene Cleanup Team – Homerville

A Hurricane Helene cleanup team organized by Tom Shoup will be going to Homerville, GA. Initial contact has been made with Joseph and Rebecca Carter in Homerville to help coordinate sites and the type work needed. Everyone is invited to assist the teams going to the surrounding communities. 
Possible work: putting on roof tarps, chainsaw work, cleaning up or removing yard debris, etc. Can’t go but want to participate: donate items previously mentioned (tarps/ food items), donate money to be used for transportation &/ or equipment, or for the community. Make checks out to the church marked “disaster team” and take to the church office. A brief team meeting will be held at the church AC on Friday, 10/18/24 at 7 pm. We will be assembling in the AC parking lot on Saturday, 10/19/24 at 7 am to hopefully leave by 7:30 am. Bring a hat, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, sack lunch/ snacks and plenty of water.
