
A graduate of Irwin County High School, he began his college education at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC), where he completed his core coursework before transferring to Valdosta State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During his time at ABAC and nursing school, he worked part-time on weekends as a nurse extender at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, GA.
After graduating, he accepted a nursing position at Tift Regional Medical Center while applying to nurse anesthesia programs. In 2001, he was accepted into Duke University’s Nurse Anesthesia Program and graduated in 2004 with a Master of Science in Nursing. He then returned to Tift Regional Medical Center, where he has practiced anesthesia ever since.
A dedicated volunteer, he has long served in sound and media ministry at Tifton First.
In his free time, he enjoys working outdoors, repairing almost anything, learning new skills, playing the saxophone, building and fixing computers, and video and audio recording.
