We are delighted to welcome Kaycie Self as our new Children’s Director. Kaycie is from Sugar Hill, Georgia, and is currently working towards an Elementary Education degree from Valdosta State University.
Kaycie brings a wealth of experience working in a larger membership church’s Youth and Children’s Ministry programs, but she says her heart is in the Children’s Ministry. She’s served as a Sunday School teacher, Children’s Worship leader, and Preschool Worship leader. Having served as an intern in the ministries of her home church, Kaycie was used to working with 75+ preschoolers and 150+ children on a weekly basis, and running a Vacation Bible School with 500-750 participants.
She is a freelance photographer, who plays classical violin, worked in drama and dance, and volunteered with the Cub Scouts. She also has worked with the 828 Project, which is a small ministry in Thomasville, that focuses on filming and sharing the stories of local students and how they came to Christ, and showing what God has done in their lives.
We are excited to welcome her to the staff at Tifton First, and look forward to what God is going to do through her ministry here!
